Give at least two other reasons why you want to study abroad: From the first time that I heard about the possibility of taking part in an exchange program, I had this huge desire to be part of it. When travelling with my parents, we are always interested in other countries, their customs and food. We always try to speak at least a couple of words in the local language, try diverse food and learn something about the people and their history. With the opportunity of an exchange, I really want to get to know more than I could do during a trip only. I have the wish to live alone, try living without my own family in a different country, get to know the people and the everyday life in a host family as well as in a new school. I know I need to adapt and am ready to do so to understand the way of living there and to cope with it. I also think this would mean lots of fun and experiences I would miss if I would not go. I picture myself making new friends, learning English beyond usual classes, experiencing a new country with different people and amazing nature.

Give at least two other reasons why you want to study abroad: One reason I want to study in the USA is for the experience of what it is like to live in the States. I have been on holiday there and I am interested in what it would be like to live there for a longer period of time. Another reason is to get an experience in a different style of education and to make new friends from around the world. One thing I am also really looking forward to is engaging with a new family and seeing how families live in another country.
