    Germany

Top Interests & Sports: Attend/Watch Sporting Events, Computers, Drawing, Fitness, Volunteering, Running, Tennis, Weightlifting
Give at least two other reasons why you want to study abroad: One of the main benefits of studying abroad is that you become more independent and know how to deal with new and unfamiliar situations. I have already experienced this benefit during some of my past short-term exchanges organized by my school. When I went to Green Bay, Wisconsin, I was on a completely different continent, far away from home. I was quickly integrated into the school and social life and felt immersed in a completely different life than the one I was used to. It was amazing. I became so much more open-minded and independent during these experiences abroad that I value them so much, apart from experiencing a new culture and learning another language. Another reason for me to spend a year in the USA is that I plan to go to university in the USA. That's a big plan, and this year is not only helping me decide if the USA is really my favorite country to go to college, but this experience is also preparing me for what's to come. I am getting to know the United States and what studying abroad is really like.

English is the language that join people throughout the world, so a good control of English is fundamental for both work and fun. Give at least two other reasons why you want to study abroad: I want to meet new people who aren’t like the friends and families I know from my country, like real Americans who behave and act different. That would expand my horizon and change my way of thinking. \nI want to see as much of the world and all people in it as I can but by briefly travelling somewhere and experiencing the vacation like a tourist, you can’t really get to know everything. \nThat’s why I want to stay longer and live together with the people, so I can get to know and understand them as best as I can.\nBesides, I want to be more independent and I like to cope all on my own, so I guess it would be the perfect opportunity for me as I would have to adapt in a whole different environment.
