Give at least two other reasons why you want to study abroad: One of the main benefits of studying abroad is that you become more independent and know how to deal with new and unfamiliar situations. I have already experienced this benefit during some of my past short-term exchanges organized by my school. When I went to Green Bay, Wisconsin, I was on a completely different continent, far away from home. I was quickly integrated into the school and social life and felt immersed in a completely different life than the one I was used to. It was amazing. I became so much more open-minded and independent during these experiences abroad that I value them so much, apart from experiencing a new culture and learning another language. Another reason for me to spend a year in the USA is that I plan to go to university in the USA. That's a big plan, and this year is not only helping me decide if the USA is really my favorite country to go to college, but this experience is also preparing me for what's to come. I am getting to know the United States and what studying abroad is really like.

They had already decided what they wanted to do in the future, and they asked me about my dream. I could not answer them. I was shocked to see them because I had not talked about my dreams with the people around me. I was surprised by how Americans think about their future from when they are little, and I think that is a great culture that we do not have in Japan. In addition to that, I would like to talk to many people in the US and get new perspectives. America is a diverse country in my view. Many people from different cultures live together in the US. By talking with them, I expect to get new perspectives that I do not have. \nSecond,I want to be able to express my opinion more than I can now. I assume that I am a modest person. I usually agree with my friends and avoid conflict. Because of that, I rarely express my opinion to others and sometimes I feel a little frustrated.
